Keegan Martin Balle

Keegan Martin Balle, age 28, of Naperville, IL passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1992 in Naperville, IL. Keegan is survived by his loving parents; Martin and Marcy (nee Garling) Balle, grandparents; James and Bonnie Garling, grandmother; Sally Balle, aunts and uncles; Wendy (James) Henry, Jamie (Douglas) Grenier, Michael Balle, Thomas (Barb) Balle, Jr., cousins; Michael Henry, Kevin Henry, Brian Henry, Drake Grenier, Hunter (Alyson) Grenier, Brock Grenier, Karlee Grenier, Thomas Balle, Sarah Balle, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather; Thomas Balle, Sr. Keegan spent his early years growing up in New Lenox, Illinois, and kept busy playing travel baseball and soccer. After spending three years attending Lincoln Way Central, he moved to Naperville and graduated from Neuqua Valley High School. He balanced school with the demands of the Chicago Fire Soccer Academy and loved every minute of it. College soccer followed as did success on the field when Keegan was named as an All-American soccer player following his Junior year season. If you knew Keegan you knew he didn’t ever just sit and relax. After settling in downtown Chicago for his job, he spent his evenings playing kickball, softball, and soccer in multiple men’s leagues. One would struggle to keep up with his social calendar because he made sure he spent time with all of his friends. He had an infectious personality and was a friend to everyone he met. It was important to Keegan to help others and he went out of his way to do so as he had a heart of gold. Although Keegan’s life on earth has ended, he continues to live on as he donated his organs and those who benefitted will continue to live his legacy. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, IL 60564. Interment private. The family of Keegan Martin Balle has established a memorial scholarship fund to honor Keegan. The scholarship will be awarded to a Neuqua Valley senior student – athlete who will be going on to play a sport at a college or university in the Fall. The first scholarship will be awarded in May 2021.
