acrylic fiber, do it yourself
Welcome to Part 2 in my Do It Yourself Acrylics series. This segment will cover the application of smash dehydrator and primer. Nail dehydrator is a very important step in the application of acrylic nails as it pH balances the breeze through plate in readiness of receiving a smash enhancement merchandise, in this case, acrylic. Primer is a very important step in acrylic lotion. Primer “ primes ” the pinpoint denture to enhance the adhesion of the acrylic nail to the pinpoint plate. Both products work together to ensure proper attachment of your acrylic fiber nails .
In Part 1 peak application was covered. If you are doing a full dress of acrylic nails with tip extensions, follow the instructions in Part 1 before continuing with nail dehydrator and flat coat lotion. Applying complete dehydrator and nail flat coat before applying credit card breeze through tips will cause the breeze through topple to not by rights stand by to the smash plate and pop off .
refer to my foliate “ Nail Anatomy ” throughout the adjacent several blogs if you do not understand what part of the nail I am referring to or if you do not understand a terminus I have used.

If you already have a full set of nails on and you just need to do “fills” begin here
To begin cover the surface of your make space with a paper towel to protect your work coat. note that acetone and polish remover will damage forest and laminate surfaces. Glass or tile surfaces are best .
Wash your hands to remove any oils, lotion or cosmetics that will interfere with product adhesion .
Apply cuticle remover to all 10 cuticles and rub in. Use a epidermis pusher to lightly push back your cuticles. Wash your hands with soap and water to remove all traces of the epidermis remover. Carefully relish any dead tissue that will interfere with acrylic application. Do not trim living weave. Trimming cuticles will cause them to grow back compact and will leave the nail matrix open to infection .
Use a 180 grit or higher file to remove the radiance from the new emergence area of your natural pinpoint plate. Blend the acrylic fiber at the modern growth area blush with the nail plate being careful to thin the acrylic in order to blend it and not filing into the natural complete. Thin the stallion acrylic fiber smash by 50 % to avoid the nail getting thick and thick with each fill .
Remove all charge dust with a formative manicure brush. Do not touch the smash with your fingers you will transfer bark oils to the nail and cause your acrylic enhancements to lift. Do not use a blush brush or any other soft “ cosmetic ” brush. These brushes are meant to spread gunpowder or blush over the skin, you need all the dust removed from the surface of the breeze through and complete tip or your acrylic nail down enhancement will lift. Do not wipe with breeze through cleansing agent or acetone, both products will “ thaw ” the coat of the acrylic intersection, smoothing out the surface and will interfere with the newfangled acrylic fiber intersection adhering to the acrylic product already on the nail .
If you are doing a full set and are beginning this section with your tips applied according to part 1 instructions, continue from here.
Nail Dehydrator
immediately you are ready to apply dehydrator. Dehydrator is the belittled bottle with a brush in it, filled with a clean fluent that came in your kit. If your kit did not have a pinpoint dehydrator, the manufacturer does not recommend one and you should not use one. If your kit does contain a breeze through dehydrator, it may be labeled ph Bond, Bond Aid, Nail Prep or some early name that the manufacturer chose to call their product. It will say somewhere on the label “ dehydrator ” or “ ph Balancing Agent ”. This intersection is very thinly and evaporates quickly. Apply a minor sum to the lifelike breeze through only. Do not apply to a formative tip or acrylic product already on the collar. Wait for the product to evaporate before applying pinpoint flat coat. tightly cap your bottle of nail homework after use or you will find an empty bottle the future meter you take it out. It evaporates identical fast.

Nail Primer
Nail flat coat is available in acid and non-acid. I strongly recommend non-acid primer only. You can burn your skin with acid fuse and if you have properly prepped your nail and used a dehydrator you will not need the harsh acid flat coat. Non-acid primer should be applied identical meagerly to the natural breeze through and the credit card complete tap only. Do not apply to acrylic product already on the nail .
